چکیده
Abstract Background and Aims Albuminuria signifies subclinical vascular damage in the kidneys other organs is associated with systemic endothelial dysfunction increased future cardiovascular risk. Subendocardial viability ratio (SEVR) defined as diastolic to systolic pressure-time integral a marker of subendocardial perfusion. Reduced SEVR has been uncovered patients chronic kidney disease (CKD) simultaneous albuminuria. also considered risk factor for peripheral artery disease, especially additional atherosclerosis factors or diabetes mellitus. The aim our study was determine impact albuminuria on ankle-brachial index (ABI) without known CKD. Method We included 111 (73% male, mean age 64.2±9.3 years) that were hospitalized at Cardiology department between 2016-2020 due elective cardiac catheterization. determined by urine albumin creatinine (UACR) from random specimen. using applanation tonometry radial (Sphygmocor, Atcor Medical, Australia). Ankle-brachial measured an automated, non-invasive waveform analysis device (MESIÒ, Slovenia), ABI left right side used. Glomerular filtration rate estimated (eGFR) CKD-EPI 2009 equation. All data obtained prior catheterization only eGFR ³60 ml/min/1.73 m2 included. Statistical performed Package Social Sciences version 22.0 (SPSS Inc, USA). Results Basic descriptive statistics, comorbidities, medications are presented Tables 1 2. Spearmann's correlation test showed significant UACR (r = - 0.238; p 0.017) 0.304; 0.003). Multiple regression dependent variable waist-to-hip ratio, body mass (BMI), arterial hypertension, diabetes, dyslipidemia, independent variables, association (b 0.232; 0.029). same model used variable, found Conclusion independently decreased even absence

Low Ankle-Brachial Index Is Associated with Early-Stage Chronic Kidney Disease in Type 2 Diabetic Patients Independent of Albuminuria
AIMS The role of low ankle-brachial index (ABI) in early-stage chronic kidney disease (CKD) is not fully known. This study was designed to investigate the prevalence of low ABI in early-stage CKD defined as an estimated glomerular filtration rate (eGFR) between 60-89 ml/min/1.73 m2 of type 2 diabetic patients without albuminuria and to determine the association between the low ABI and mildly de...
متن کاملLower ankle-brachial index is associated with poor sleep quality in patients with essential hypertension.
BACKGROUND The ankle-brachial index (ABI), ratio of leg blood pressure to arm blood pressure is used extensively as a screening test for stratification of cardiovascular risk. The problems in sleep disturbed nocturnal fall in blood pressure and may relate to development of hypertension. However, the role of sleep quality on ankle-brachial index remains unclear. METHODS AND RESULTS This study ...
متن کاملDiagnostic Value of Ankle Brachial Index for Myocardial Ischemia in Asymptomatic Diabetic Patients and Comparison with Myocardial Perfusion Imaging
Objective: The ankle-brachial index (ABI) as a simple test which can detect peripheral arterial disease (PAD). Therefore in this study we try to evaluate the diagnostic value of ABI for silent myocardial ischemia in diabetic patients and compare the results with myocardial perfusion imaging (MPI) results. Materials and Methods: All 149 diabetic patients in this study were categorized according...

متن کاملThe Assosiation of Carotid Intima-Media Thickness and Ankle Brachial Index with SPECT Myocardial Perfusion Imaging in Asymptomatic Diabetic Patients
Objective: The risk of cardiac death in diabetic patients is 3 times more than non-diabetics. But it is not determined who need cardiac screening. About 41% of diabetic patients with silent ischemia are missed. the carotid intima-media thickness (CIMT) and ankel brachial index are two independent, simple and non invasive method in vascular complications diagnosis in diabetic patients. The aim of ...
